　　Robert Half Finance & Accounting is seeking candidates for a full-time General Ledger Accountant position, which will become a critical part of an innovative Manufacturing & Distribution company. This role is located in the Omaha, NE metro and will be a full-time, permanent position with salaried pay & full benefits/retirement/flexible work arrangements.

　　This GL Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you might be a good fit for this role. 　　Key Responsibilities:

　　Take part in various department-wide initiatives

　　Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

　　Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

　　Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

　　Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

　　Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

　　Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

　　In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

　　Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

　　Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

　　Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

　　Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

　　Requirements

　　Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field a plus must have relevant experience to role functions if no degree)

　　Direct prior work experience working within and contributing to month-end close accounting activities desired

　　Experience within Manufacturing/Production, Distribution, or any Service industry setting a plus

　　Any experience working with Fixed Assets/Inventory a plus, but not required

　　Strong technology & software skills required; this role will work within a full-scale ERP system as well as accounting software for monthly accounting activities/reporting
