As a Communications Co-op/Intern, you will have the opportunity to work across our global internal and external communications teams, gaining a truly 360-degree experience working with some of the industry’s best.
Job Description
As a Communications Co-op/Intern, you will support activities including, but not limited to, research, writing assignments, social media, etc. Major tasks and key accountabilities include:
Develop high-quality communication materials for a variety of channels and audiences, both internal and external.
Influence our brand storytelling efforts, helping mining for impactful internal stories that can be shared with an external audience.
Work with our Financial Communications team to support GE Vernova's financial communications, including earnings calls.
Partner with our internal communications team to plan and develop internal campaigns and activities tied to our culture and strategic priorities.
Help with content creation and strategy for our social media platforms.
Support the development of external media materials, such as press releases.
Assist with written content, including executive communications, for internal stakeholders across a global footprint.
Qualifications/Requirements
Must enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in a discipline as listed below.
Following majors accepted: Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Adverting, Marketing, Mass Communications, or related degree
Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding).
Must be willing to take a drug test as part of the selection process
Must be willing to submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be able to develop and maintain good customer relationships
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Must be willing to work in geographical area specified by the business
Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications:
Preferred candidate is rising senior with prior internship experience
Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Adverting, Marketing, Mass Communications, or related degree
Excellent writing and communication skills
Graphic design and/or animation experience or knowledge
Interest in working on a collaborative, cross-functional team
Ability to communicate issues and recommend solutions to problems quickly
Well-organized and a self-starter
Keen attention to detail
Relocation Assistance:
Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
Housing Allowance:
Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
