Technicians provide gas engine over-hauls on 3500 and 3600 gas engines.Job Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Requires an assembly, mechanical or electronic aptitude with a goodworking knowledge of assembly practicesUse of various tools provided in the work area to perform assemblydutiesUse of lifting devices and cranes to move components weighing morethan 40 lbsFollows documented procedures in standard workPerforms safe and defect free assemblyUses principles of 5S, continuous improvement, and standard work toeliminate wasteKeeps tools and work area clean and orderlyContributing team memberEffective communication skillsQualificationsHeavy equipment machine assembly experienceManufacturing experienceExperience in lean manufacturingExperience working in a "team environment"Intermediate proficiency with Standard Operating Procedures orStandard WorkBasic computer skillsAs a Technician you are required to work in an industrial environment which includesexposure to significant environmental conditions. Physical requirements include:- Overall stamina- Sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing- Carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching, listening, and speaking- Must have good motor coordination skills- Coordination of eyes, hands, and feet- Verbal intelligence, and numerical intelligence- The workplace environmental conditions include subject to noise, heat, cold- Injury exposures, and atmospheric exposures- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
