Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper role in Houston, Texas. This role involves handling all the books, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations for two different companies. The successful applicant will also be responsible for running payroll for approximately 80-120 people manually on a weekly basis. The role will evolve to include running additional reports once the successful candidate is fully trained and has spent some time with the company.
Responsibilities:
• Running payroll for approximately 80-120 people on a weekly basis
• Handling all the books for two different companies
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Conducting reconciliations for both companies
• Running additional reports as required after training and familiarization with the company
• Using a range of accounting software systems, including ADP - Financial Services, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, Microsoft Outlook, QuickBooks, etc.
• Performing various accounting functions and billing functions
• Monitoring and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate customer credit records. Requirements
• Proven experience in a Full Charge Bookkeeper role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Competence in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations
• Experience in handling Billing Functions
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• High degree of accuracy and efficiency in work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
