  About the Job

  The Retail Sales Development team includes both customer-facing web experiences and internal tools to manage the process of retail sales within U-Haul . If you have a passion for building a positive customer experience using technology, this is the team for y ou.

  We are looking for front end software developers who can contribute to projects using Javascript , TypeScipt , JQuery , Vue .js , CSS, HTML5, C#, and T-SQL. This team needs a front-end developer with experience primarily focusing on design and front-end technologies. Having experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and/or WebForms is a plus. Our Front-End developers are critical in assisting development teams with creating mockups from business requirements , suggesti ng efficient user experience strategies , and creating functional applications from mockups. You will work with a team of .NET developers to combine front-end and back-end technologies. We are looking for developers with a desire to learn, grow, and experience opportunities of advancemen t .

  The Retail space is made up of a subset of smaller Scrum teams to encourage design, broad domain knowledge growth, and enable opportunities for transferability throughout the various teams to encourage skill growth and keep the work interesting and dynamic at your pace. Each team is supported by a Lead Developer and a Lead QA Analyst who values collaboration and is there to help support your domain knowledge and technical growth.

  You are in the right place if you have :

  A t least 1 year of experience with these technologies:

  Javascript

  JQuery

  CSS

  HTML5

  C#

  SQL

  Nice to have knowledge of these technologies:

  Vue.js , React.js and/or Angular.js

  TypeScript

  Experience with other stylesheet languages such as LESS or SASS)

  .NET Core

  ASP .NET MVC

  Web API

  Web Forms

  GIT

  Excellent visual design skills with a focus on efficient user experiences.

  Ability to provide consistent user experiences across multiple browsers.

  Possess strong communication skills.

  Understand s Agile and Scrum methodologies.

  Communicate s complex technical problems in a manner non-technical people can understand.

  Coordinate s with QA, Systems Operations, and other Development t eams effectively .

  Able to analyze and implement solutions to presented problems while satisfying the user’s needs.

  Possess the ability to multi-task and prioritize work as necessary.

  Education

  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or Associate d egree in c omputer s cience or related field with 2+ years of experience .

  Must be a U.S. citizen or have proof of U.S. employment authorization for this position.

  Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need. After World War II, there existed the widespread need for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis. U-Haul co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada. The covered wagon of the pioneers morphed into orange U-Haul trailers. In the process, an industry was born.
