Description

　　Fashion/Designer client is looking to add an Accounting Manager to their team. They are in the office 5 days a week, so are seeking locally based candidates only. Responsibilities include:

　　General Accounting• Assist with Month End Close Process.

　　• Perform Bank Reconciliations.

　　• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and update supporting schedules such as accrued expenses, prepaid, fixed assets, and other GL accounts.

　　• Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations, COGS and Gross Margin analysis.

　　• Assist with company’s receivables and payables.

　　Cost Accounting• Review and validate manufacturing invoices, approve for payment and or dispute discrepancies, perform 3-way match process, ensuring accurate reconciliation between po, invoice receipt quantity, and $$.

　　• Process and manage claims for manufacturing cost and quantity discrepancies between billed vs agreed purchase price.

　　• Review and validate invoices related to shipping charges, handle disputes with carriers, and ensure compliance with contracted rates.

　　• Reconcile material fabric inventory on a monthly basis, manage disputes as necessary.

　　Financial & Cost Control Reporting• Assist to prepare financial statements in accordance to GAAP.

　　• Produce accurate and timely weekly and monthly reporting for financial analysis.

　　• Sales Tax reporting and filing.

　　Requirements

　　• Accounting/Finance Degree

　　• 10+ years Accounting/Reporting/Analysis experience

　　• 5+ years from a fashion/retail business in a Controller/Asst Controller capacity

　　• Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot table etc)
