  Description

  We are looking for a vibrant, outgoing, friendly, smiling  Front Desk agent to join our team at Seven Gables Inn a Marriott  Tribute Hotel in Clayton Missouri. 

  Job duties include:

  Guest Services: 90%

  Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner

  Anticipate and respond to guest requests

  Handle billing questions or inquiries

  Check guests in and out of the hotel

  Administrative: 10%

  Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working

  Comply at all times with hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations; exceeding Marriott standard

  Responsible for safety, sanitation, and cleanliness of service areas

  Maintain a professional working relationship and promote open lines of communication with managers, employees, and other departments

  Have knowledge of the hotel guest rooms, their locations, and amenities

  Conduct a daily house count and expected arrivals and departures

  Qualifications

  QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:each essential duty satisfactorily. skill, and/or ability required.

  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge,

  Ability to read and write in English

  Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos

  Ability to write correspondence

  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees

  Must be outgoing and friendly and be able to remain calm in stressful situations

  Must have the ability to communicate in a positive and understanding manner

  Must be able to pass a background check

  DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent.Associate’sdegree in hospitalityor related field preferred.

  PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the person must be able to remain ina stationary position. The person must be able to constantly operate a computer and telephone to communicate with potential guests.

  WORK SCHEDULE:Work a part or full time varied schedule including days, nights, weekdays, andweekends as assigned by department Supervisor or Manager.
