You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation, security, and scalability of our cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in AWS services, infrastructure as code (IaC), and a deep understanding of best practices for cloud architecture.Day-To-Day Activities: Audit Existing Server InfrastructureReview and assess the existing cloud infrastructure across AWS to ensure efficiency, security, and scalability. Identify potential weaknesses or areas for improvement in the deployments.Analyze the current CI/CD pipelines, automation processes, and deployment strategies. Identify bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, or areas for optimization in the continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows.Infrastructure Design and ImplementationDesign, implement, and manage AWS infrastructure to support the hosting of websites and applications.Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts/templates for automated provisioning and deployment.Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard AWS infrastructure and data.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and organizational security policies.System AdministrationManage, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers, ensuring high levels of reliability, security, and performance. Handle system monitoring, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance tasks.Provide support and maintenance for Node.js and PHP-based web applications. Troubleshoot application-related issues and optimize performance.Manage MySQL databases including setup, optimization, backup, recovery, and security. Ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability of database systems.Backup and Disaster RecoveryImplement and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical systems and data.Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery processes to ensure readiness.Collaboration and CommunicationWork closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and security specialists.Provide technical expertise and guidance to internal stakeholders.DocumentationCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation for AWS infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.Keep documentation up-to-date to reflect any changes or updates to the environment.Cost ManagementMonitor and manage AWS costs, optimizing resource allocation for cost efficiency.Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures without compromising performance or security.Required Qualifications: 9 years relevant experience OR Bachelor's Degree +4 years relevant experience OR Master's Degree +2 years relevant experience.Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or Cloud Engineer with a focus on AWS.AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.Strong understanding of networking, security, and best practices for AWS.Location: Remote.
