　　Budget Director

　　Our well-respected municipality client, located in Detroit Michigan is seeking an Interim Budget Director for a long-term engagement. This hybrid position will report directly to the Deputy CFO.

　　You day to day responsibilities include:

　　Play a lead role in development in annual budget, including but not limited to coordination with departments and elected officials.

　　Recommending and forecasting revenues, determining mandatory spend levels and provision of funding for County Executive policy initiatives.

　　Assist CFO in long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with the County's strategic plan.

　　Maintain the County budget, which includes approval of all transaction that impact the County budget, ensure accuracy of the systems as it relates to the budge and spend against the budget.

　　Consolidating and reducing the County's overall facilities, to reduce operating cost emphasizing the cost analysis of various options.

　　Requirements

　　The ideal candidate will have the following skill sets:

　　BS/BA in Accounting or Finance. Master degree or CPA preferred.

　　Deep expertise in budgeting and forecasting

　　2+ years of people development and leadership experience

　　Previous experience with accounting systems and budgetary software

　　Strong knowledge of financial modeling and accounting implications

　　Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in a FP& A capacity

　　Previous experience using MS Excel, and financial modeling and data analysis capabilities
