Position: Forklift Operator

　　Reports to: Department Supervisor

　　Position Statues: Non-Exempt

　　Position Summary : Drives gasoline, liquefied gas, propane or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.Duties and Responsibilities

　　Abides OSHA and FSC rules and regulations for safety, including seatbelt use.

　　Wear typical protection gear in an environment that contains dust, odors, and noise.

　　Work well under pressure.

　　Drive trucks and control movement to lift apparatus in close quarters.

　　Move product utilizing material handling equipment pallet jacks and forklifts.

　　Assemble and stage product orders.

　　Load and unload delivery vehicles.

　　Inventory materials on the work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.

　　Lubricate trucks, recharge batteries, fill fuel tank and/or replace liquefied gas tank.

　　Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

　　Physical Demands

　　Required to stand for extended periods of time and walk frequently.

　　Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects of 50 pounds or more.

　　Must be able to cover other shifts/overtime, as necessary.

　　Must be able to bend and squat frequently.

　　Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more daily.

　　Required Knowledge and/or Experience.

　　High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

　　Minimum of 5 years of experience and/or training; Or combination of education and experience.

　　Ability to read English.

　　Ability to read blueprints, picklist, and orders.

　　Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
