DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Forestry Intern you will embark on an exciting journey assisting foresters and managers in their GPS/GIS work. You'll have the chance to contribute to mapping and analyzing state forest trails, infrastructure, and habitats. While prior college coursework in geosciences, landscape ecology, watershed management, recreational ecology, and GPS/GIS is preferred, we also provide opportunities for you to further enhance your knowledge in these fields through training sessions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following majors:ForestryEnvironmental SciencesGeographic Information Systems (GIS)An approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.Freshman year completedGood academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
