POSITION:Food Service Worker 1 - 3 Full Time
DUTIES:Works as a team member with food service caregivers in the daily productionrequirements for patient and Lobby Grille production needs. Observes foodservice safety standards for proper food storage, collecting dishes,plates, and utensils, serving, taking temperatures, and theminimization of waste. Prepares meats, fish, fowl, vegetables,gravies, soups, sauces, and baked goods according to standardizedrecipes. (Based on experience). Observes food service safety standards forproper food storage, collecting dishes, plates, and utensils,serving, taking temperatures, and the minimization of waste.
Follows proper procedures as specified by the Colorado Department of Healthand JCAHO standards for all basic food handling guidelines as specified bylocal, state, and federal health agencies.
AM Cashier, PM Cashier, Weekend Cashier, Dishwasher and Salad Bar:Operates the cash register, collects payments, and provides change andreceipt of purchase, reconciles cash register drawer for accuracy and makesdeposits accurately and appropriately.
Has full knowledge of the food diet and their specifications, and dietadvice with alternatives and check with the guest regarding the satisfactionof the meal.
Food Service Worker III must have knowledge of departmental food processes andthorough understanding of how the entire food services department works andoperates.
Responsible for basic food preparation such as salads, sandwiches, pizzasto more complex tasks like saut ing, roasting and banquet preparations.
Prepares foods to the specifications of the diets and adjusting food items toaccommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns with permissionfrom the director or manager.
Orders ingredients as needed.
Operates various kitchen appliances such as a blender, oven, grill,stand mixer, and various food preparation tools.
REQUIREMENTS:-High school diploma or equivalent.-Required to demonstrate knowledge and ability to perform duties accuratelymeasured by food safety competency tests.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly requiredto see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and usehands along with fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionallyrequired to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance,and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Employees in this position must be able to carry, lift, push and/or pullup to 51-74 pounds frequently.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:-Food handling/safety course desired but not mandatory.-General food service experience preferred but not required. Will provide onthe job training.
