This position requires the individual to demonstrate a level of professionalism through positive communication and appearance that will be respected by other service personnel. The Technician 2 makes the needed repairs on equipment within the area of responsibility, performs preventive maintenance, and returns equipment to rent ready status in the safest and most effective way possible to avoid down time.Position Responsibilities:Perform full-service maintenance on all equipment, diagnoses, and repairs most mechanical problemsRepairs equipment, orders parts, and installs all necessary parts to ensure the standards are metPerforms check-in process when equipment is returned to the shopCleans, pressure washes, and preps equipment for repairs and details equipment for rent-ready statusMaintains warehouse area and a safe work environment in accordance with safety standardsManages the inventory of parts and suppliesCompletes and maintains equipment service records including damage repair, preventative maintenance, and warranty processingOperates company vehicle safely and maintains a valid driver's license and excellent driving record free from pointsMaintains and tracks company tools and supplies; (broken tools should be brought to supervisor for replacement)Oversees and maintains wash bay and wash bay area to ensure proper maintenance, preventative maintenance, and a safe, clean work environmentAssists with loading and unloading of equipment as neededImplements proper and safe proceduresIs on call for emergency service and is available on a rotating schedule for emergency service response calls on weekends and eveningsRequirements:Education & Experience:2-4 years of mechanic experience with small engines, propane, electrical and hydraulic experienceHigh school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desiredWill need to provide mechanic's tools of tradeExcellent trouble-shooting skillsAbility to prioritize work assignments and be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and be flexible regarding work assignmentsMust possess a high degree of safety-awarenessWorking knowledge of equipment design and safety requirementsPrior floor care equipment experience strongly preferredBase Pay Range: $20.50 - 28.19Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
