We’re looking for a Fleet Manager to join our team.
This position is Remote. US-based applicants only.
What We Need & What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
The Fleet Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating and supervising the programs for acquisition, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles. Fleet manager also serves as the primary contact concerning the vehicle fleet and operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet
• Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles
• Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
• Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
• Coordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules
• Managing vehicle licensure and registration
• Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
• Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
• Searching for, hiring and training new Drivers
• Providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
• Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
• Own the relationship with fleet management vendors and insurance partners
Who You Are (Qualifications)
Required, 5+ years of experience in the role of Fleet Manager
Must be tech and customer savvy while providing reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
Purchasing vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet
Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles
Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed
Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules
Coordinating Drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals when setting employee schedules
Managing vehicle licensure and registration
Ensuring all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
Flexible with shifting from one client to another / covering the whole company fleet
Analytical ability for oversight of maintenance approval reviews for need and price of repairs
Developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
Familiar with telematic programs and their benefits , like On-Star, for all tracking and reporting
Manage and administer the Safety Program.
Coordinate with subrogation POC for accidents.
Own the relationship with fleet management vendors and insurance partners
Salary range $72,000.00 + annually, based on experience and interview/s
