(Not Flat Rate) Paid for every hour worked.Paid Holidays & Paid Time Off (PTO)401(k)Internal career growth opportunitiesWhat you'll do:Responsible for maintenance, service, diagnosing, & repair of MTMTransit service vehiclesAreas of repair to include but not limited to Automotive / Light dutyvehicles, powertrains, undercarriage/ chassis, electronic andelectrical equipment, air conditioning and heating systems, wheelchairlifts, and vehicle accessories and equipment drivability and diagnosisRecord vehicle repair activity into electronic fleet maintenance managementsystemPerform preventive maintenance as requiredWork with local Fleet Maintenance Manager and General ManagerPerform additional duties as assigned or requiredRequired Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or G.E.D. equivalentMust have minimum of 1+ years of auto/truck experience or automotivecourses. Multi year experience and certifications a plus for A level position.Must possess a valid drivers licenseMust possess the AC609 Certification or ability to obtainMust possess proper hand tools or willing to obtain. MTM will supplydiagnostic, heavy and specialty equipmentWillingness to train and take ASE A series tests as neededMust pass a DOT Physical as requiredMust be able to pass an annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background screenExperience using hand and power tools, machinery, sophisticated test anddiagnostic equipment related to automotive repairWorking ConditionsMay require work outside in cold or hot weather. Shops may not be airconditioned in work baysThis job operates in a professional Shop environmentMay be subject to adverse weather conditions during times of travelMay be required to work various days and shifts based on business needs
