As a Fleet MaintenanceMechanic II, you will: Perform basic maintenance to include:Semi-tractor and trailer inspections and identify problems which couldcause breakdowns. Oil changes and grease jobs on semi-tractors andtrailers. Basic understanding of suspensions on semi-tractors andtrailers. Basic understanding of ABS brake systems on semi-tractors andtrailers. Basic understanding of refrigeration units and performpre-trips on refrigeration units. Ability to perform repairs on tiresand replace, if needed. Basic understanding of electrical systems onsemi-tractors and trailers and able to perform repairs or replacementparts. Operate Company vehicles at terminal only. Work in an efficient,timely, accurate, professional, and safe manner in accordance with allCompany policies, DOT, OSHA and other governmental standards andregulations. Must be able to work in the United States withoutsponsorship. Must be able to perform the job duties withor without reasonable accommodations. High school diploma or GED.Ability to operate Company vehicles per DOT regulations. Ability tooperate all shop equipment and Company vehicles. Must furnish own handtools. Must be able to work independently in a fast paced and dynamicenvironment. Must have basic mechanical aptitude.
