  Job Description Summary

  As a Sales Specialist, your role will be pivotal in driving the sales of BD Immunocytometry and BD Pharmingen products within the territory. The focus for this role will be on selling flow cytometry instrumentation and associated reagents into the Clinical Market and Reagents to the Research Market (Academic Institutes). You will report to the Sales Manager Benelux.

  BD Biosciences (BDB) is a leading provider of high-quality flow cytometry and single-cell genomics solutions, scientific research, and clinical laboratories. Here, we are leading the way by developing the best technologies that have the ability to look closer at the details of cells and diseases.

  About the role

  You will be responsible for the sales of BD Immunocytometry (IS) and BD Pharmingen (PMG) products by direct sales activities, the aim being to grow and develop the sales revenue in the territory (Brussels + Academic Institutes in Flanders and Wallonia). The focus for this person will be on selling flow cytometry instrumentation and associated reagents into the Clinical Market and Reagents to the Research Market (Academic Institutes). This role will report to the Sales Manager Benelux.

  Main responsibilities will include:

  Selling: Promoting flow cytometry instrumentation and associated reagents to clinical and research markets (hospitals and Academic Institutes).

  Growth: Meeting growth targets for BD Immunocytometry and BD Pharmingen product ranges through direct sales activities, negotiations, tender responses, exhibitions, and technical support.

  Collaboration: Participating in sales meetings, providing accurate market insights and sales forecasts.

  Reporting: Generating regular reports for our marketing teams, highlighting market trends, opportunities, and threats.

  Database Management: Maintaining accurate customer contact details, marketing attributes, and opportunity management in the CRM database.

  About you

  A degree in Cell Biology, Haematology, Immunology, or related subjects, or 2-3 years of practical laboratory experience, preferably in flow cytometry.

  Proficient in spoken and written French, Dutch and English.

  Excellent listening and communication skills, motivation to achieve sales targets, and the ability to work as part of a team.

  Sales experience is not mandatory; however, a technical background, the right attitude, organizational skills, enthusiasm, and results-orientation are essential.
