Description:

　　The Flavorist will be responsible for creating flavors and must have a very strong understanding of flavor profiles. Need to be able to assess raw and finished flavors and replicate existing flavors. They will also work with and mentor the junior flavorists and flavor technicians and will be included in the sensory testing as well.

　　• Must have a strong understanding of FEMA GRAS Materials

　　• Understand commercialization and creates flavors that are commercially viable

　　• Must maintain and keep laboratory clean

　　• Ability to work with Analytical Sciences for duplication projects.

　　• Provide analytical and organoleptic support to Quality Control Department

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Education/Experience:

　　•Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or an equivalent area.

　　•At least 4 years of experience working in a lab environment creating flavors.

　　•Preferred experience in tobacco field, then food, and lastly cosmetics/perfume.

　　•Strong understanding of flavor profiles

　　•Member of Society of Flavor Chemists is preferred.

　　•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

　　•Ability to work quickly and efficiently to meet tight deadlines.
