About Our Opportunity
Our Financial Relationship Specialist (FRS) is the first impression to every customer and guest when they visit or call into our retail offices. The Financial Relationship Specialist provides an exceptional customer experience by showing a servant’s heart and great attitude when delivering financial services.
Responsibilities include establishing, developing, and maintaining strong and effective working relationships with internal and external customers, interacting via phone, in person and electronically, handling financial transactions, monetary accounting activities, monitoring, loan support, and cross sell activities. The Financial Relationship Specialist provides general support for the other roles and departments in the office and across the Association. All Financial Relationship Specialists represent and communicate the purpose and values of Farm Credit Mid-America and comply with our conduct policy, security policy and confidentiality expectations.
How You Will Spend Your Time
• Establishes, develops, and maintains strong internal and external customer relationships by listening to understand, problem resolution, offering/cross-selling beneficial products and services, and consistently providing quality service. • Utilizes technology effectively to serve customers. • Leads/Manages the office to provide a consistent level of service, which is timely, thorough, and responsive to customers, exceeding expectations. • Leads daily activities to ensure all monetary transaction processing is completed according to safe industry practices, including adherence to all applicable laws and regulations; monitors required reports. • Demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to be empathetic, treats every conversation as an opportunity, and effectively relays information to others. • Owns and resolves account discrepancies, including credit line overdrafts, insufficient fund notifications, and delinquencies. • Manages payoff processing and lien release. • Handles mail processing and distribution. • Assist with marketing and meetings. • Performs loan related post-closing tasks. • Scans documents. • Supports all Business Segments with customer service and processing needs. • Serves as primary contact for facilities vendors, building upkeep, and maintenance. • Helps monitor non-employee access to the building. • Manages invoice and Accounts Payable coordination. • Orders and maintains office supplies. • Monitors and manages office expenses. • Works in a team environment to accomplish team goals.
Minimum Education & Experience
High School diploma and at least 3 years successful experience in two or more of the following areas: administrative support, financial related customer service, or computer operations.

Successfully interact with and represent the organization to staff, officers, board members, customers, vendors, and/or the public at all levels.

Understand and explain various subject matter and consulting concepts, programs, terminology, and methods.
Reason, judge, compare, calculate, evaluate, decide, and critique such information as written material, numerical data, responses to customer needs, and/or other related work activities.
