About Financial Real Estate Systems Lead Senior Analyst

  To help save our customers green, we need an amazing team who knows all about it. Our National Finance & Administration Services department oversees the management of the critical resources and infrastructure that our people need to get the job done at every level. This service department is designed to make sure our retail divisions and executive leadership receive the support they need to run a successful operation. Within Finance our teams include: Accounting, Corporate Tax, Financial Reporting and Treasury and Finance.

  In this role the Financial Real Estate Systems Lead Senior will be responsible for leading the team in complex projects impacting overall business initiatives related to Real Estate Systems and developing reporting to help senior management make strategic decisions. Projects include working closely with various teams throughout the organization, overseeing development of real estate system software, extracting and cleansing data, and develop reporting tools to be used by leadership. The ideal candidate will have experience working heavily in Excel, Tableau, Alteryx, driving large project initiatives, and be experienced in analyzing data related to strategic planning and financial forecasting with an educational background in project management, statistics, accounting, or business administration. The objective of this role is to drive the development, coordination and implementation of Real Estate systems and reporting in addition to develop and uphold the business to specific Real Estate process.

  This role is eligible to participate in ALDI’s Hybrid Work Program, which allows remote work up to 3 days per week (i.e., work remotely up to 3 days per week; work in-office at least 2 days per week).

  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes existing working procedures and recommends changes and best practices.

  • Engages with other teams to understand current business requirements to effectively design and streamline processes within the organization.

  • Provides input to their direct leader on hiring for positions reporting to them.

  • Informs management of major team milestones, developments, and concerns.

  • Oversees and conducts analyses that contribute to the development and implementation of long-range business plans, investment strategies, and financial models to support ALDI's overall strategic objectives, while delivering accurate and timely results to project owners and senior management and influencing decision-making processes.

  • Manages team to develop and document financial reports and plans for large-scale planning projects, ensuring they are comprehensive, innovative and aligned with ALDI’s growth and profitability strategies.

  • Manages in-depth Real Estate financial reporting, development and analyses, including long-range business plans, investment analyses, cost-benefit analyses and other financial models.

  • Supports operations and other national departments in research, data analysis, and judgement to develop and validate assumptions.

  • Supports leadership with conceptualization and development of Real Estate planning and analysis tools and processes, providing value-added quantitative and qualitative insights with a focus on investments to enhance decision-making.

  • Works with team members to instill a sense of urgency to manage multiple projects and prioritizes effectively, ensuring timely completion of deliverables and meeting critical deadlines.

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of their team, escalating issues to the appropriate level of support and/or leadership when necessary.

  • Ensures direct reports complete assigned responsibilities in a timely and effective manner to provide the highest level of customer service for the business.

  • Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information.

  Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or a related field required.

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Accounting, Finance, or Statistics required.

  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.

  • Experience managing large scale software development projects required.

  • Experience in Alteryx and Tableau preferred.

  • Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

  Physical Requirements:

  • Work may be performed in an office, remote office or a combination of both where a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties.

  • Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.

  • Constantly and repeatedly use keyboard/mouse.

  • Occasionally required to push, pull, bend, lift and move up to 25 lbs.

  Travel:

  • International & Domestic travel required.

  • Up to 10%.
