NAU\'s College of the Environment, Forestry, and Natural Sciences ishiring a Financial Oversight Analyst, Senior. The Financial OversightAnalyst, Senior in the College of the Environment, Forestry and NaturalSciences independently manages and controls accounting, budgeting,auditing, and other related functions to ensure the financial integrityof the college. This position oversees the financial areas of theDepartment of Chemistry and the Department of Applied Physics andMaterials Science. Applies generally accepted accounting principles andprocedures in working with specialized accounting records and reports.Coordinates the assembly and analysis of data and transactions; andprepares and presents statements and reports relating to assigned areaof responsibility. Serves as a liaison for faculty and staff seekingday-to-day financial administration support.
Department Financial Support and Oversight - 90%
Manages and controls expenditures in accordance with budgetedamounts; authorizes requests for supplies, services and otherpurchases.Approves all financial transactions for assigned units and managedepartment accounts for accuracy.Advises faculty/staff on financial matters, instructs and orientsnew members of staff, faculty or administration on financialprocedures.Work closely with the Chair/Director of assigned units to ensurestrategic financial decision are made with the resources available.Assure that fiscal year end process completed with all transfers tothe department completed and expenses/revenue accounted for.Assists the Assistant Director, Financial Oversight with thepreparation and forecasting of the assigned unit level localbudgets.Manages Class Fees including: ensuring accounting of sub-departmentis used appropriately, managing changes in fees, assisting with newfee requests, and changes in accrual percentages (as needed.)Provide Research support to PI\'s including: grant Cost Sharetracking, IDC tracking, and general PI financial support.Oversee Foundation Funds including: reimbursement of expenses(including individual and local account reimbursement), disbursementof award dollars to students, deposits of funds, and providingreporting to Chairs/Directors.Oversee Summer Salary pay for faculty and submit requests for eParsto process appropriate pay (using the DRP as needed) and managingdays of work to be paid for.Work with the service team to ensure that all pcard purchases areaccounted for correctly.Process and/or oversee funding changes for salaries that need to bechanged throughout the year.Process and/or oversee IPT, IDT, and IST transactions to properlyallocate departmental expenses or charge units for servicesprovided.Assist new faculty with start-up funds including purchasing,tracking and requesting reimbursement when necessary.Manage, track and request funds from other departments when fundingis provided (this may include funds from the Green Fund, HURA,LSAMP, and other awards)Monitor, track, and request funds for faculty awards (this mayinclude funds from the Regent Funds, Eminent Scholars, and otherfaculty awards.)Monitor FYLI and FWS payroll expenses and ensure funds are usedappropriately.Manage the Scholarship/Foundation awards and communicate with theappropriate committee members to award funds.Other - 10%

Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, and3-5 years of accounting or finance experience; orAny combination of relevant education and experience may besubstituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-yearbasis.Preferred Qualifications
Finance experience in higher education.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.Experience with NAU Financial Systems - Peoplesoft, Anaplan budgetsoftware, and Enterprise Reporting.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
