A Kforce client in Warwick, RI is seeking a Financial Controller to join their team. This client is a long-running, top accounting firm. They are family oriented and take care of their employees. This role will have opportunity for growth, and exposure to partners. It will be a blend of audit, tax, accounting, consulting, etc. They offer a strong benefits package that includes medical and dental benefits, HRA, 401K with profit sharing, PTO, etc.Responsibilities will include:
Process, verify, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Manage payroll and employee benefit plans
Supervise contracts and building operations
Create accounting reports and present results to management
Perform financial analysis and create financial status summaries
Lead month-end and year-end close process
Improve client billing process
Oversee and control debt collection
Maintain employee records
Play key role in new employees onboarding and benefits enrollment
Manage PTINs and RISCPA renewals
CPA is a plus
4 years of experience with general ledger functions and the month/year-end close process
Strong knowledge of basic accounting procedures
Prior experience as a financial Controller
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Strong customer skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
