We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team as a Financial Aid Analyst with Title IV experience. In this role, you will play a crucial part in evaluating and analyzing financial information submitted by applicants to determine eligibility for financial assistance. Your responsibilities will include assessing the type and amount of aid to be awarded in accordance with established federal, state, and University rules and regulations, enabling students and families to fund their educational costs.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and analyze financial information submitted by applicants
Determine eligibility for financial assistance in accordance with federal, state, adn University rules and regulations.
Assess the type and amount of aid to be awarded to students
Provide excellent customer service and counseling related to financial services to a specific caseload for Veteran and Athletic students.
Serve as the lead in managing VA benefits and the Yellow Ribbon program, as well as all Athletic aid
Act as a recognized authority for complex and/or difficult financial aid problems and compliance
Administer financial aid to various student groups, including first-year students, transfers, continuing students, student athletes, and Veteran students.
Resolve errors, omissions, discrepancies, and conflicting information before financial aid awards are completed and disbursed.
Collaborate with UG advising staff, FA leadership, and other parties to provide advice and counsel
Contact students and campus partners to resolve issues related to financial aid
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional rules and regulations related to financial aid
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to manage a specific caseload efficiently
Experience in managing VA benefits and the Yellow Ribbon program is a plus
Proven ability to handle complex financial aid issues and compliance matters.
