The role
What will you be doing?
Project Manager
Hybrid/Dorking/Basingstoke – 2 days per week
Unum UK are hiring for a Project Manager to join our growing and ambitious team. This person will be responsible for the management and delivery of various modernisation and process improvement projects, across our Finance, Pricing and Underwriting functions.
You will help shape the overall Finance transformation agenda and deliver change projects from ideation through to adoption.
You will assess new opportunities, explore solutions, and provide delivery recommendations, taking into consideration strategic alignment and the impact on existing ways of working. You will then lead the planning, mobilising, delivering and embedding of various initiatives, to deliver impactful change and help to develop our organisation.
You will work alongside the teams and senior managers in a collaborative and engaging way. Working to a matrix-management approach and using a range of project and change management techniques.
You will evaluate and report on outcomes and impacts of these initiatives to track progress against objectives and key results.
This role would be perfect for someone who is looking for a new challenge, who enjoys getting involved and wants to make a difference. You will have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of initiatives covering people, process, technology and data.
What will you bring?
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree, or relevant professional qualification/appropriate experience.
A proven track record of successfully implementing projects and operational improvements.
Knowledge and understanding of Finance functions, change management, processes, systems, data and industry trends.
Highly collaborative and energetic team player, comfortable with ambiguity.
Ability to create documents, plans, process maps, dashboards, and presentations.
Agile/Change/Project management and/or Process Improvement/Business Analysis certification (Preferred).
