Amazon seeks a Finance Business Partner/ Finance Manager to play a key role on the DEP (Digital and Emerging Payments) Finance team, primarily supporting key strategic initiatives and payments business in emerging markets. This exciting, fast paced, high visibility role allows you to gain deep knowledge of the P&L, financial and business metrics as well as the opportunity to influence Product, Sales and Marketing strategies. This role collaborates closely with the business team, product team, consumer payments finance team and leadership to shape strategy and translate plans into financial outlooks.Key job responsibilitiesThe person will also be responsible for long and short term financial planning, developing and reporting on financial and operational performance metrics, and providing analytical support for Senior Business Management. This position will be a key risk/controllership gateway for the payments business and requires a candidate with strong communication and leadership skills. A portion of the time will be spent on ad hoc analysis to support the growing business needs. The finance team works closely with the business teams, so any candidate should be able to work well with cross functional teams. The ideal candidate must have superior attention to detail, project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Strong analytical skills are required.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USA- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)- OR- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results- MBA, or CPA- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience- 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experienceOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
