Job Description SummaryAAM is seeking a strategic and enthusiastic Finance Manager to lead our finance team at AAM's Fraser Manufacturing Facility.
In addition to the duties below, the Finance Manager is responsible for planning, cost accounting, financial analysis, and maintenance of planning and budgeting systems. They will also prepare or direct the preparation of reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in the areas of income, expenses, cash flow, profitability, capital expenditures and performance against budget.
Job DescriptionCoordinates and administers an adequate plan for the financial control of the facility. This includes a plan that provides profit planning, sales forecasts, expense budgets, accounts receivable, cost standards and saving opportunities, and capital investing.Compares performance against budget and operating plan and standards. Provides reports and interprets results to plant manager and group controller.Conducts special projects, cost studies, analyses and new business evaluations. Provides statistics, reports and recommendations resulting in cost reductions and profit improvements.Recommends, implements, and maintains compliance with all accounting policies and internal controls.Responsible for the preparation of all accounting ledgers, plant reports, corporate reports, other financial reports, and related supporting detail or sub-ledger files and reports.Responsible for accurate accounting classification of all expenditures, including capital and other transactions to ensure that balance sheet and income statement accounts are accurate.Responsible for reviewing inventory control and reporting procedures to ensure that inventory records and manufacturing cost are accurate.Responsible for contact with the Company's independent and internal auditors and with all taxing authority auditors/personnel.Responsible for local tax and treasury management at the plant level.Responsible for statutory reporting and documenting all local accounting policies and procedures.Responsible for managing local accounting personnel.
Required Skills and EducationCompleted bachelor's degree in an Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
