Job Summary:
Raytheon Field Engineering is seeking a Field Engineer to provide support for the APY-10 Radar at NAS Jacksonville, FL. The radar is mounted on the US Navy’s P8A aircraft.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Overseeing installation, checkout, operation, repair, and modification of equipment.
Provide guidance and training to customer personnel and establish maintenance and inspection procedures and techniques.
Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommends corrective action(s) and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency arid/or reduce cost of operation.
Devises and implements predetermined programs and keeps performance and maintenance records on equipment.
Participate in installation planning phase of the system.
Some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Aircraft radar maintenance experience with the P-8 or P-3 platform.
Using calibration, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting in an Automated Test Equipment (ATE) environment.
Testing high reliability avionics equipment as well as component level repair.
Preferred Qualifications:
Consolidated Automated System Set (CASS) experience.
Five (5) to ten (10) years military radar.
(3-5) years military experience at the Intermediate and or Depot level of maintenance.
Familiarization with standard maintenance practices. Military Avionics training desired.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
