Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a File Clerk in the health insurance industry based in Carmel, Indiana. This role involves a combination of data management, customer service, and administrative tasks, making it suitable for individuals with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to and process inbound calls, demonstrating effective communication and customer service skills.

• Handle approximately 30-40 claims per day, prioritizing speed and accuracy.

• Utilize MS Word and MS Excel to maintain and update customer credit records.

• Perform data entry tasks swiftly, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

• Cope with interruptions and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.

• Conduct filing and copying tasks, demonstrating basic office skills.

• Use email effectively to communicate with customers and team members.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.

• Manage and resolve customer inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

• Maintain a high level of productivity, aiming for a keying speed of 6,000 - 8,000 kph. Requirements • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel

• Comprehensive knowledge of basic office skills

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to type at a speed of 6,000 - 8,000 kph

• Experience with copying machines

• Comfortable with email communication

• Prior experience in filing and maintaining records

• Familiarity with the health insurance industry

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Excellent organizational skills

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Capable of working independently and as part of a team

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
