Job Summary
Cleans and maintains buildings and facilities. Does not supervise other employees.
Essential Functions
Performs cleaning and janitorial duties in addition to limited grounds maintenance.Cleans hallways, employee lunchrooms, washrooms and offices. Also cleans windows, floors, dusting and performs trash removal.Performs inspection and maintenance of equipment specific to job duties.Proper disposal of waste products.Cleans snow from entrances and sidewalks.Keeps custodial area neat and orderly and reports supply orders to supervisor.Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.Punctuality and regular attendance are required.Compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, confidentiality and environmental policies.Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management.Work without significant risk of harm to self and others.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Skill Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Employee must have sufficient education to read and write instructions, perform simple mathematical calculations, and keep records.
Possession of a valid drivers license issued by the state
Some previous custodial experience preferred.
Must have basic knowledge of equipment used.
Must have solid verbal and written communication skills.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with others in a team environment.
Ability to function within the qualifications outlined in the attached physical demands sheets.
