JOB REQUIREMENTS: Global Power Components is a privately held, growingmanufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, largegenerator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fullyequipped electrical distribution and control equipment. We have recentlymoved operations into a newly renovated 300,000 sq. foot facility thatwill foster our continued growth as we continue to be recognized as theundisputed leaders in our industry. As a result of our expansion, we arelooking for a Field Service Technician to join our growing team.Qualifications: The qualified Field Service Technician will preferablyhave 2+ years of experience in electrical work, repair, installation,maintenance and troubleshooting of generators, engines, or relatedequipment. Ability to use electrical and mechanical aptitude todetermine causes of equipment error Ability to work independently as aField Service Technician and make decisions with little guidance in afast-paced environment Maintain a valid Driver\'s LicenseResponsibilities: Gain proficiency in use of tools and standardprocedures relating to diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, andperforming maintenance on equipment Perform scheduled inspections onequipment to prevent future failure, including but not limited to loadbanking and analyzing voltage requirements Diagnose, troubleshoot,repair and perform maintenance on equipment according to standardprocedures in an efficient manner Train and educate customers on use ofequipment and value of products and services provided Follow establishedexpectations for communicating with Dispatch throughout the dayregarding updates and next assignments Maintain associated equipment andinventory Maintain accurate records of all services performed, mileage,expenses, and bill-able hours Adhere to all safety requirements andregulations The Field Service Technician position reports to the GPCOperations Manager & (or) Production supervisor and travels frequentlyto customer locations within assigned geographic area.
