Hematology
For onco-hematological diseases, our objective is to transform these into preventable and chronic diseases through the development of therapeutic alternatives that extend and improve the quality of life of the patients. In Denmark, we focus on securing access to these new and innovative treatments for patients. We do this through long-term collaborations and partnerships with academia, start-ups, scientific and political institutions as well as patient communities.

Introduction and Overview
We are now looking to fill a position as a Field Medical Advisor for our Hematology portfolio. The purpose of the role is to improve company product value by being a therapeutic area scientific expert, responsible for discussing products, patients’ treatment trends and studies in Hematology area with a defined audience of Leading Specialists (Physicians, Pharmacists, Hospital Managers, Board Members of Scientific Societies, and other partners) and to be considered a trusted scientific counterpart and partner. You will be supporting the current and future launches within Hematology.
We are looking for a person with a good level of seniority within the Hematology area, as well as with respect to working in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry. We are constantly building strong networks within the scientific innovation ecosystem and your strong strategic and scientific skills will be developed when building relations with new and existing partners.

This position will be based in Denmark and will report directly to the Medical Affairs Lead, Denmark. You will be part of a strong network within the Therapeutic Area across Janssen in the Nordics and EMEA.
Field Medical Advisor Hematology – Denmark
Objectives of the Position
Act as a reference point for other functions for any scientific query.
Coordinate and participate in medical education activities, e.g. identity, support, and educate speakers as well as build medical education programs with scientific third parties.
Continuously update own knowledge of products, patient’s treatment trends and clinical activities and studies within the therapeutic area and patients’ treatment trends in the region.
Develop and maintain a contact network with leading specialists with focus on understanding their needs, key value drivers, and practical treatment patterns as well as championing the medical value of own products.
Communicate medical scientific data to leading specialists and broader external health care related audience both proactively and reactively.
Gain valuable insights into treatment patterns and scientific activities in the therapeutic area through scientific interactions and provide strategic input to the medical affairs plan and business decision-making.
Support and handle medical affairs clinical activities' strategy, planning, design and execution in close co-operation with Global Clinical Operations and CRO.
Support Health Economics and Market Access Manager’s (HEMAR) in medical and scientific input to Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions as applicable.
Improve the use of multi-channel communication.

What you will need to succeed
We are looking for a clear and strong communicator able to make complex scientific advances understandable to external and internal audiences. You have a strong dedication to build value for the Hematology community. You need to be naturally inclined to perform work with care, accuracy and attention to details and carry out to directions, policies, and legal guidelines.
The candidate is encouraged to have focus on getting results in the light of a multifaceted and sophisticated partner landscape and successfully tackle problems by continuously searching for areas to improve and innovate.
To be successful in this role, an open and flexible attitude with an ability to push for actions despite challenges and obstacles is vital as to have a collaborative mindset both within and across functional and geographical areas.
Qualifications
Medical Doctor or advanced university degree within Science or Pharmacy (required). PhD in life sciences is a merit.
A minimum of 2 years proven industry experience in a medical or scientific role (preferred).
Prior clinical and/or scientific expertise in Hematology (preferred).
Proficient in Danish & English language (required).
Valid car driver’s license and ability to accommodate significant business travel (required).
