  The Field Applications Specialist for Leica Biosystems is responsible providing in-field technical applications support for our current and "next generation" range of automated instrumentation and reagents.

  This position is part of the Field Applications Immunohistochemistry team, and the territory includes Houston TX and will be remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

  You will be a part of the Field Applications Immunohistochemistry team, and report to the Senior Field Applications Manager of Immunohistochemistry. If you thrive in a multifunctional, fast paced, supporting role and want to work to build a world-class field applications organization—read on.

  In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  Support installations of IHC instrumentation, training and evaluation of antibodies and probes in the region.

  Support Leica in order of Region to achieve sales goals monthly, quarterly, and annually in the Instrumentation and Consumables of relevant product line.

  Basic Installation, Evaluations, Qualification and Optimization for Instrumentation sold and evaluated in the region with supervision or mentorship

  Perform investigation of technical applications while working with Technical Service, Applications Technical Lead Applications Manager and Global Business Units

  Prepare weekly territory status reports to Applications Manager including but not limited to competitive information, product issues, customer issues, target account lists, expense reports and travel calendar as asked by manager

  The essential requirements of the job include:

  Excellent time management and organization skills are a must

  Must possess excellent customer relations/service skills

  Work independently but able to interact as part of a team member

  Must be willing to travel up to 75%

  1-3 years’ Immunohistochemistry laboratory experience in clinical, research, or industrial setting
