Eight farmworkers needed to work in general orchard maintenance and apple hand harvest.  Additional duties include but aren't limited to weeding; shoveling; hoeing; trunk painting; mowing; hand fertilizing; thinning; pruning; grafting; tying limbs; planting or transplanting fruit trees; blossom removal; seeding orchard; install tree screens/grow tubes; drive and operate vehicles, tractors or other agricultural equipment such as forklifts; spray crops with tractor and spray attachment; routine general repairs and maintenance of farm equipment and tools on farm; conduct farm building repairs; complete harvest preparation tasks such as spreading liners in bins, wash and sanitize harvesting bins or repair harvesting bins; hand harvest apples to quality standards and maintain count; laying mylar; install and maintain trellis; repair deer fence; install and maintain irrigation systems and drain tile; complete general hand tasks to include picking up garbage around the orchard, removing old trees, string and wire from trellis and orchard blocks, picking up sticks, rocks and brush throughout the orchard; conduct various field and farm clean up tasks at end of season. Work will occur in Montcalm and Kent County, Michigan.

　　Work schedule is generally 35 hours per week, Monday through Saturday. Additional hours may be offered but not required.
