　　Ascension Illinois is looking for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine physician for our Residency Faculty team in Chicago, IL.

　　Ascension Resurrection Family Medicine Residency Program is recruiting a Full Time Core Faculty physician for our practice on the northwest side of Chicago.

　　We are a close knit team that is dedicated to teaching and adapting to the changing landscape of medicine and medical education based on resident and patient needs. We are looking for a dynamic family doctor that is passionate about caring for and teaching the full breadth and depth of family medicine including all ages, all genders, inpatient medicine, outpatient medicine, procedures, and prenatal care precepting. This position can include obstetrics.

　　An ideal candidate has at least two years of clinical experience or fellowship training in faculty development, osteopathic neuromuscular medicine, women's health, surgical obstetrics, geriatrics or others.

　　Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.

　　Participate in curriculum development, faculty development, evaluations, milestones, teaching, etc.

　　Administer and maintain an educational environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas.

　　Devote the majority of their professional effort to teaching, administration, scholarly activity and patient care within the residency program.

　　Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.

　　Coordinate discharge planning with case management.

　　Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.

　　Accept patient referrals from other physicians.

　　Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.

　　Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.

　　Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.

　　Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

　　Requirements

　　Licensure / Certification / Registration:

　　Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Credentials are verified by local staff credentialing office.

　　Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

　　Education:

　　Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) required.Additional Preferences
