Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the planning, coordination, implementation and management of space planning, facility utilization and program management within Lowe's campus facilities in North Carolina and geographically dispersed contact centers and offices throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The position will be responsible for delivering and maintaining consistent, quality service delivery, including services provided by third party contractors, while ensuring that Lowe's maximizes the use of its Corporate Facilities. This position will be responsible for select Corporate Facility planning, including space planning; office furniture procurement, inventory and installation; and workplace design, across a number of corporate campuses and ancillary support
facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinates space planning options, costs and scheduling with other functional areas within the department andcommunicate options to department manager and business units
Identifies and manages implementation of sound, comprehensive space planning solutions
Navigates Computer Assisted Facility Management (CAFM) system and manages and organizes headcount data,facility space plans, employee location data, furniture types, etc. to ensure records are kept current for planningpurposes
Understands future trends and hiring plans by departments and locations
Works with business units and department manager to determine and develop evolving space configurationneeds, including cross functional team rooms, open work areas, collaborative areas, touchdown spaces, etc.
Understands changes and trends in office space utilization, including floor densification, alternative furnitureconcepts, space sharing and alternative workplace strategies
Communicates, demonstrates and implements knowledge in creating more effective and efficient work spaces.
Participates in the implementation, coordination and management of an effective and efficient move, add andchange (MAC) program to accommodate corporate churn rate while providing a high of customer service
Understands changing headcount (FTE and contractor) growth and projections, as well as approved anddepartmental moves and schedules to have a strong working knowledge of available options for future
accommodations
Works with other functional areas within the department to have a solid knowledge of space options, furnitureoptions, costs and project schedules, timelines, interdependencies and logistics, as well as departmentalstandards, policies and procedures
Develops project budgets and schedules and obtain all necessary approvals
Inspects space planning and program management project plans to ensure compliance with local, state andfederal construction codes
Required Qualifications:
Facilities Maintenance experience including prior management experience
Construction management experience
Space planning experience
Preferred Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree In Architecture, Engineering or related field of study
Strong experience in space planning and utilization in large,geographically dispersed, campus environment
Strong restacking/space densification experience in large corporate officeenvironment
Ability to effectively and efficiently manage and organize contract resources, service contractors, projects andprograms
Strong communication skills, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, self-management/time management skills
Strong performance management – customer service orientation
Adept at budgeting and MS Office software platform
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
