The Facility Designer I is an essential, valued member of the HDR O&MFacilities Design staff directly responsible for developing a major portion ofour project deliverables. This person is self-motivated, creative, andinnovative, with the ability to be a team player in an international,employee-owned A/E firm.Day to day tasks will include planning, design, and industrial equipmentspecification on some of the world's most advanced vehicle maintenancefacilitiThe Facility Designer I reports to the Region Manager or Facility DesignManager.Primary ResponsibilitiesFacility programming, report writing, site master planning, developingspecifications and construction documentsSelection, coordination, and layout of various aspects of design(industrial shop equipment, site flow, etc.)Creating / using Building Information Modeling (BIM) to completedifferent levels of documentsSubmittal, shop drawing, and RFI reviewConduct construction field observationsOther design / engineering tasks as assigned#LI-LA1QualificationsAcademic / ExperienceBachelor's degree in architecture, industrial design, or related fieldExperience in industrial design, facility planning, equipment layout, orworkflow analysis is preferred but will consider entry level candidates with4-year degree and strong BIM skills
TechnicalCommand of Revit and AutoCAD, and knowledge of SketchUpCommand of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)Working knowledge of LOD 300 requirements
