　　Position Summary:Children’s Aid (CA) After School in Action Program at IS 318, funded by OST (Out of School Time) is an after school enrichment program operating Monday through Friday, from 2:00pm to 5:30pm. The program offers tutorial help for students with their homework, additional educational instruction, and the opportunity to engage in an array of enriching sports and art based activities.

　　Essential Duties:

　　Supervision and care of (up to) 20 children, which comprise a group or club.

　　Modeling and demonstrates positive characteristics and traits of a good leader that participants can learn from.

　　Supervise and provide guidance to on the day to day activities.

　　Provide individual and group tutoring in areas such asreading, writing, mathematics, and study skills.

　　Develop classroom and behavioral management skills.

　　Implement professionally developed literacy-based curriculum.

　　Build relationships with children and their families.

　　Plan and lead the implementation of special projects in and out of program.

　　Produce lesson plans, teach, supervise, and organize games.

　　Assists in activities or tasks necessary to ensure an orderly operation of the program.

　　Supervise children during meals (lunch and dinner)

　　Ensure equipment is properly signed out and that all equipment is properly cleaned and returned.

　　Attend regular staff meetings, trainings and work cooperatively with other staff members in the program and in the schools.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　At least one year of experience working with children, tutoring, or teaching.Key Competencies:

　　Available from September 1stthrough June 21, 2024.

　　Expected to be punctual, responsible, have a positive attitude and provide encouragement to children.

　　Pursing an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
