　　About This Role:

　　The Agronomy Department at Kansas State University is looking for anExtension Associate to lead the development, manage, and facilitateextension educational programs in agronomy. The successful candidatewill work closely with Extension Specialists, and in collaboration withAgents, industry partners, farmers, and other stakeholders to coordinateand amplify the impact of extension educational programs. Otherresponsibilities include supporting extension specialists in creatingeducational materials and resources, and promoting extension events,workshops, and field days to reach a broader audience. Find and refinetopics for eUpdate articles, X (Twitter), Facebook, and other socialmedia posts, fact sheets, and other Extension products and pursueopportunities for supplemental funding to support programs. Coordinate,plan, and lead the organization of traditional extension programs suchas winter meetings, crop schools, and summer diagnostic schools with aprimary focus on program development, identifying relevant topics andpresenters, including CEU credits for certified crop advisor andcommercial pesticide applicator programs.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Requires a bachelor\'s degree and three years of relevantexperience.Preferred Qualifications:

　　B.S. degree in Agriculture, Communication, Social Sciences, orrelated field.M.S. degree in Agriculture, Communication, or Social Sciences.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing withdiverse public.Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.Experience in developing and supporting the delivery of Extensionprograms.Experience with or interest in agricultural production, agriculturaleducation, and/or Extension.Ability to assess problems and develop creative solutions.Experience with planning and organizing extension programming,familiarity with grant-writing and reporting.Other Requirements:
