  Here’s the Gist:

  Maintains and repairs the facility’s equipment, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Performs skilled trades work, such as pipe fitting, pump repair, rigging, boiler and chiller maintenance.  Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary. Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches.

  The ideal Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be able to perform a high degree of problem identification and troubleshooting assignments and participate effectively in a team environment. 

  This technician will work a 12-hour 6am – 6pm or 6pm-6am schedule, and will work at our main campus in Marcy NY.

  The Day-to-Day

  Perform daily mechanical inspections on equipment throughout facilityMaintaining clean work area, ensure all tools and equipment is kept in pristine conditionResponding to emergency equipment failures and work in a team to solve complications Assisting other departments with issues that arise Maintain paperwork complete work orders (CMMS)Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment as scheduled

  This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  Associate’s degree, trade certification or10 yrs experience as a technician performing electrical, HVAC, or mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environmentKnowledge or experience in the following skill areas: lubrication, pneumatics, piping/plumbing repair, HVAC fundamentals, electrical schematics and troubleshootingExperience with variable frequency drives and complex HVAC controls and PLC troubleshooting a plusAbility to organize work and meet deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skills; write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to perform mathematical functions in all units of measureAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  Ability to work in an industrial/manufacturing environment that has HVAC units, pumps, motors, tanks, and other facilities related equipmentAbility to work with machinery and moving partsPossess valid US driver’s license to operate motor vehiclesAbility to work with moving vehicles, ladders, and scaffoldingAbility to work at heights, and in confined spacesAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environmentAbility to work in repetitive motions and pressure involving fingers, hands, and wrists

  The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.

  Compensation Range:

  $27.15 - $37.35
