　　Program Dates: July 10, 2024 - August 20, 2024

　　The Music Therapist is responsible for developing and implementing a music therapy program designed to meet the individual needs of students with special needs enrolled. The program is provided in multiple service locations.

　　TYPICAL DUTIES:

　　Provide individual music therapy evaluations/intervention in multiple locations.

　　Prepare, implement, and evaluate Individualized Education Plans for each student.

　　Maintain all necessary and appropriate records.

　　Communicate with administrators, teachers, parents and students regarding progress/status of music therapy program.

　　Participate in staffings, parent meetings, and annual review meetings as appropriate.

　　Provide training activities as requested.

　　Assist classroom staff in developing instructional techniques in the area of music therapy.

　　Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Special Education Supervisor.

　　Job Qualifications

　　NYS Creative Arts Therapy license; appropriate coursework in music therapy; and registration as a MT by the American Music Therapy Association, or active pursuit of same, is required. Prior experience teaching students with special needs is strongly preferred.
