　　Program Dates: July 10, 2024 - August 20, 2024

　　The Assistive Technology Specialist provides services to identified students and districts, including: assessment, intervention, consultation and training.

　　TYPICAL DUTIES:

　　Conduct evaluations.

　　Select and design materials and equipment.

　　Assist in the acquisition of Assistive Technology equipment.

　　Coordinate services through consultation with families and staff members.

　　Train students, staff, and family members in the use of assistive technology.

　　Provide technical assistance including troubleshooting and repair of assistive technology equipment.

　　Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Special Education Supervisor.

　　Job Qualifications

　　Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred. New York State certification in Special Education, Speech, Teacher of the Blind/Visually Impaired, NYS License in Occupational Therapy.
