　　VCA Redwood Animal Hospital is expanding its team and is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join its Patient Care Team!

　　VCA Redwood Animal Hospital is a reputable and thriving small animal veterinary hospital, we are committed to providing top-notch care for our furry patients and ensuring a positive experience for their owners.

　　Responsibilities of our Veterinary Assistants:

　　Assist veterinarians in routine examinations and other medical procedures.

　　Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatments.

　　Administer medications and treatments under the supervision of veterinarians and technicians.

　　Maintain accurate records of patient histories, treatments, and medications.

　　Collect samples and perform laboratory tests

　　Diagnostic imaging

　　Provide compassionate care and support to both animals and their owners.

　　Ensure cleanliness and hygiene in treatment and surgery areas.

　　Client education and communication.

　　Schedule : Full-time opportunity with a rotating Saturday shift. 4 x10 hour shifts.

　　Compensation: $ 19 - 24/hr. Pay dependent on experience and licensure (CVA).

　　Requirements:

　　1+ year experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a clinical setting.

　　Knowledge of veterinary medical procedures and protocols.

　　Excellent animal handling skills.

　　Comfortable with radiology and venipuncture.
