We are seeking committed and passionate expanded learning instructors to change the future of students by leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our team. As a group leader, you will lead and mentor up to 20 youth (Middle school aged) in an expanded learning setting. 　　Pay rate: $21-$23 an hour DOE

　　Hours a week: 22 hours, plus PD Monday - Friday 1pm-6pm

　　16 paid BACR holidays

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　Some experience working with youth or in a school setting required

　　Ability to reliably commute to Oakland

　　Ability to pass criminal background check & TB test clearance

　　Commitment to education equity and leadership

　　Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

　　Preferred:

　　Commitment to a full school year

　　Ability to practice open, clear, and consistent communication and commitment to participate in professional development.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students.

　　Provide a safe environment

　　Be a positive role model for struggling students

　　Have fun engaging students in lesson plans that support school-day learning

　　Run community circles based on restorative practices

　　Ability to collaborate with youth to support their learning and development (youth-driven curriculum)

　　Above is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience/education, skillset, and geographic location.
