  Grade: 18Salary: $36.56 - $39.81/hour (Employees in this job classification begin at Step 5 of the pay scale) The starting salary is based on education and experience. Starting salary for promotional candidates will follow contractual requirements.

  Additional shift differential $3.00/hour while working 2nd shift hours

  Additional shift differential $4.50/hour while working 3rd shift hours

  Additional weekend differential $2.10/hour while working weekend hours

  In addition, the selected candidate may qualify for a $200/month nursing student loan reimbursement.

  RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Riverview Psychiatric Center (https://www.maine.gov/dhhs/riverview) is seeking Graduate Nurses, this first level of professional nursing work involves the care and treatment of individuals with mental illness. Work is performed under general supervision. Schedules currently available: 7a-7p and 11a-11p.

  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current State of Maine RN license.

Augusta is Maine’s capital city located one hour north of Portland, an award-winning city with excellent cultural opportunities and two and a half hours north of Boston. With a new state of the art high school, world class cancer care center, and the exciting redevelopment of the riverfront and downtown, Augusta is a wonderful place to live and work.

  The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is dedicated to promoting health, safety, resilience, and opportunity for Maine people. The Department provides health and social services to approximately a third of the State's population, including children, families, older Mainers, and individuals with disabilities, mental illness, and substance use disorders. The Department also promotes public health, operates two state psychiatric hospitals, and provides oversight to health care providers

  Retirement Plan – The State of Maine contributes13.41 % of pay to the Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS), on behalf of the employee.

  Gym Membership Reimbursement – Improve overall health with regular exercise and receive up to $40 per month to offset this expense.

  Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts – Set aside money pre-tax to help pay for out-of-pocket health care expenses and/or daycare expenses.
