Specialist (1885) will provide overall administrative support to the Neurosurgery Administrative Office. Further, the position is responsible for financials/purchasing in the Department. The incumbent will work closely with the administrative team. Job Duties/Responsibilities: Office/Admin Support- 90% * Assist faculty in calendar management, development of presentation materials, * Assist with department searches and assist with development, planning and execution of annual lectures. * Manage 3-5 faculty academic and clinical/call responsibilities. * Provides clerical and technical office support to a team of Neurosurgery faculty. * Develop electronic documents, brochures, program fliers, posters, reports, and correspondence. * Maintain/develop Google documents and department databases. * Work with department administration regarding recommending standard department office equipment. * Provide orientation and training to student employees and process departmental mass mailings. * Administrates Department of Neurosurgery EFS activities. * Operates and maintains general office equipment; consults with IT as appropriate. * Orders, maintains and manages office supplies for the department. * Participates in trainings, professional staff development and conferences. * Maintains confidentiality. * Completes other duties as delegated or assigned. * Commitment to working with in a diverse population. Departmental Project and Communications Support - 10% * Assist with developing communications for upcoming events and announcements * Collecting, distributing, and posting of print materials for departmental gatherings and special events, etc. * Additional project work as needed Salary:$21.84 to $26.50 per hour (DOQ) This position will be on campus during orientation and a hybrid work schedule will be considered following orientation. Qualifications Required Qualifications: * High School Degree and four (4) years of related office/administrative support experience (Training or additional education may be substituted for some of the years of experience). * Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines while handling walk-in traffic, phone lines, and e-mail. * High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Google Suite. * Experience analyzing and interpreting reports and/or statistical analysis * Fiscal planning, tracking, and transaction processing experience. * Manages work load independently and as part of a team and follows through on assignments. * Demonstrated initiative, self-direction, and proactive problem solving. * Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills. * Good organizational skills and close attention to detail.
