Position Summary
This role is a key member of the Office of the President and is responsible for the coordination of functions and activities of this office, including managing requests for the President’s appearance, scheduling the President’s appointments, strategizing about the appropriate use of the President’s time, balancing competing requests, identifying the objectives of the individuals the President should be meeting with, and ensuring that the President is fully prepared for these meetings. The incumbent will manage and advise the President and the Chief of Staff to the President on day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness and optimizing use of available resources, including supervising staff and managing budgets. The role monitors linkages with senior administrative officers to ensure responsiveness.
Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's DegreeRequired Experience:7+ years of progressively responsible experience in academic or business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must include experience managing office operations and staff, budgets, planning and implementing special events and activities, and collecting and analyzing data.Preferred Experience:3+ years Experience supporting executive level or a C-Suite equivalent officeRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organization, and multitasking skills. Excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Strong research, writing, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate sensitive information verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels. Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and interpret policies and procedures. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Good judgment, tact, diplomacy, discretion, and ability to maintain confidences.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00 to USD $130,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
