Responsibilities Serves as Executive Housekeeper for multiple facilities within Presidio of Monterey DFMWR to include CYS facilities, Fitness Center, Java Cafe and Stillwell Recreation Center. Plans, develops, and implements procedures, policies and programs to ensure timely, consistent, and effective management of housekeeping and laundry services. Ensure accuracy of accounting and inventory records, efficient personnel utilization and training, security of property and equipment, and compliance with safety and sanitation requirements. Responsible for department budget. Sets quality standards consistent with the requirements of the Army Standards for Service, Operations and Facilities to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive appearance of all rooms and, public areas. Responsible for the effective management and supervision of employees to include preparation of staff schedules, development and utilization of appropriate training and incentive programs. Maintains daily communications with other departments. Deals effectively and objectively with subordinates, supervisory and management personnel, contractors, and other customers and outside contacts. Supervises assigned staff. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Candidates must possess: Progressive experience which included supervising, leading, or management oversight of custodial workers/housekeepers in a hotel or similar customer service-based residential or guest facility. Must possess demonstrated knowledge of business processes required for budget development and management. Highly Desired: are candidates with a two-year hospitality related associate degree or possession of a CHHE (Certified Hospitality Housekeeping Executive). Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
