ManTech is seeking a motivated, proactive, creative, and customer-oriented Business Development Account Executive with extensive experience and knowledge of U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) offices and stakeholders. This position is focused on bringing ManTech’s core solutions and capabilities to market within the VA including cybersecurity, IT modernization, systems engineering, mission and enterprise IT, and advanced analytics solutions.
This position directly contributes to the ManTech Federal Civilian (FedCiv) Sector’s objectives by accelerating our growth within the VA market through the successful pursuit of large-scale mission programs. Reporting to the Vice President of FedCiv Growth, this highly visible position works with the most senior leaders across ManTech to develop and execute account strategies and drive business growth by addressing the VA’s most complex mission and technical challenges.

Position Responsibilities:
Cultivate new and existing client relationships to develop our business and visibility within VA – coordinated with our operations teams – that result in organic and inorganic growth.
Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of ManTech’s capabilities, technology, and business objectives. Use this knowledge to design and execute creative and differentiated growth strategies and client engagements as well as influence future capability development efforts.
Identify, qualify, and support the capture of new business for the VA account. This includes ownership of the VA new business pipeline and account/opportunity-specific client call plans within our Salesforce-based system. Maintain a 3+ year sales pipeline of qualified business opportunities by constantly identifying and qualifying new opportunities through continuous client engagements.
Conduct introductory and ongoing briefing(s) with various VA leadership, management, and operational teams.
Maintain business relationships with other industry partners to facilitate teaming and thorough awareness of the competitive VA and broader federal health market.
Participate in and host VA industry events that highlight investments and service capabilities.
Position Requirements:
10+ years of experience leading technology strategy initiatives and defining services to address federal client challenges.
Experience building and maintaining sales pipelines that consistently achieve sufficiency targets.
Current strong relationships within VA, with a demonstrated record driving business growth.
Strong reputation within the VA community with a mix of direct program experience coupled with direct experience in the realm of federal business development.
Demonstrated track record of qualifying, developing, and winning opportunities valued greater than $100M as a prime Federal Systems Integration contractor.
Willing and able to travel up to 25% as needed to attend events, and establish and foster client relationships.

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to collaborate with other leaders/teams, use standard office automation equipment, and virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
