We are looking for an experienced Event Marketing Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute Sertifi’s conference presence, self-hosted live events, and virtual events. This position will enable Sertifi to deliver exceptional in-person and virtual event experiences that provide a platform to connect with prospects and customers and grow the business.
Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event management, marketing, and project orchestration. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Sertifi’s conference presence, self-hosted live events, and virtual events.

This position will report to our Director of Growth Marketing.

Challenges You’ll Tackle:
Plan, coordinate, execute, and promote Sertifi’s presence at relevant industry trade shows and conferences.
Plan, coordinate, execute, and promote Sertifi’s self-hosted in-person events, such as regional networking events, executive summits, and others.
Support Sertifi’s virtual events, including speaker recruitment, technology set up, logistics coordination, and event promotion.
Work with our trade show vendor on all event logistics, including shipping and receiving, material creation, paperwork, and more.
Manage our events budget and ensure that spending stays within budget.
Track the results of our event investments and ensure that we are generating a positive return on our activities
Help us deliver memorable event experiences that serve our customers and grow the business.
Orchestrate pre and post event communications across the go to market organization.
Prepping Sertifi representatives to attend events.
Own the annual event plan including identifying potential events to attend, evaluating the business fit of the events, consolidating feedback, and making recommendations on event presence and budget.
Own and keep up-to-date documentation for all event management processes.
Execute the events in a way that is collaborative, organized, on budget, and measurable.
Ensure that we have sufficient activity at our events by orchestrating go-to-marketing communications for the event.
Do such a good job of promoting and organizing the event that we know that it will be a success before the event even begins.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of event management experience
Experience managing a company’s conference presence, and/or organizing self-hosted events, and/or supporting webinars.
SaaS / tech marketing experience preferred
Bonus points for hospitality industry experience
Project management – ability to organize tasks across internal and external teams to ensure that we deliver a great event experience that drives business results.
Attention to detail – ensure that all documentation and logistics around an event are prepped and delivered on time and to specifications.
Creativity – craft memorable and engaging event experiences that encourage people to connect with Sertifi.
Event marketing – ability to promote an event in a way that builds buzz and encourages people to connect with us.
Professional persistence – be willing to kindly and professionally do what it takes to make sure agreed upon processes are followed.
Take ownership of your role – while you’ll get more than enough feedback on how to approach your role, we want someone who can make smart decisions and move our marketing operations forward.

Occasionally, the employee must be able to travel to an event and be able to walk, lift, carry, and set up materials for the show. Must be able speak, see, walk, lift, carry, and hear. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
