As an ESG Summer Associate based in London, UK you will take an active role within the global ESG organization. You will have the opportunity to interact with various teams within and outside of ESG, utilizing both the technical and interpersonal skills you are continuing to develop through your education. You will make meaningful contributions as a member of the team.
Capital Group is deepening the integration of ESG into our fundamental research. Our strategy is to systematically incorporate ESG data and insights into the investment process through thematic research, proprietorial tools and company engagement.
You will work on a research assignment on sustainable investments. Research may be thematic (e.g., environmental or social impacts) or company-specific (assessment of ESG practices and impacts of products and services)You will support team priorities which could include building and maintaining ESG research frameworks, company engagements, client reporting, data analysis and/or regulatory reportingYou will have an opportunity to learn about the role ESG analysis plays in investment decision-making through practical experience and contributing to the outputs of this busy team.

You're currently a junior (in your penultimate year) pursuing a bachelor's degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2024 and July 2025You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or aboveYou have an interest in pursuing a career in the ESG spaceYou express ideas effectively and interact professionally with othersYou are a continuous learner, with a hunger for knowledgeYou are highly collaborative
In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
